HEAT 102 – 96 NETS
If there was still a question about whether Paul Pierce was in LeBron’s head after Game 3, it was answered last night in Game 4. The Nets wanted nothing to do with LeBron as he erupted for 49 points and surpassed Dwayne Wade as the franchise record holder for most points in a playoff game. In Game 3, LeBron started out hot, going for 18 points at the end of the 1st quarter, but was cooled down as the game proceeded on. This time around, the fire would continue burning as he went 16 of 24 from the field and 14 of 19 from the free throw line, falling just shy of 50 points in the final second of the game. LeBron had 25 points in the 1st half, his most ever in a playoff game, and went on to score 13 points straight in the 3rd quarter before making the most important play of the game in the 4th…an outlet pass to Chalmers who hit Chris Bosh for the go ahead three.
The Heat have a chance to close out the series Wednesday night back in Miami at 7:00 PM and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
