Dubbed “a street-smart spawn of Agenda trade show, Jay Z’s Made in America Festival and TED Talks” by the Los Angeles Times, this year’s debut of ComplexCon drew some of the most innovative and influential figures from a vast array of industries including fashion, music, pop culture, activism, and sports. Leading the digital sports content discussions was UNINTERRUPTED, which had a driving presence on the “Future of Sports Media” panel and also held a live taping of the platform’s Open Run podcast.

UNINTERRUPTED’s CEO Maverick Carter was joined by ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, acclaimed filmmaker and UNINTERRUPTED creative director Gotham Chopra, and professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez for a dynamic and engaging conversation about the changing sports media landscape. The audience heard valuable insights on the power of content and the art of storytelling, with Carter sharing, “You always have to let the content lead, that will tell you where the story should go." With UNINTERRUPTED at the forefront of the changing sports media landscape, it was an in-depth look at where the industry is going. 

Following the panel, UNINTERRUPTED presented its first live taping of its Open Run podcast hosted by Jesse Williams and Stefan Marolachakis. The dynamic duo was joined by Carter, Nichols, Complex’s Jinx and Los Angeles Laker Nick Young, who shared the divine origins of his “Swaggy P” nickname.
